The Ontario Fire Marshal has called in a second Marshal to help with the investigation surrounding a house fire in Dutton-Dunwich.
Police say a 37-year-old woman had not been accounted for, though they say nothing at this time indicates the fire is suspicious.
Elgin OPP confirmed Saturday afternoon that the woman had died in the fire, next of kin has been notified.
An officer was on patrol around 4 a.m., when a possible structure fire was spotted north of Highway 401 on Saturday.
Fire service was called and came to an address on Edinborough Line, according to police.
Police found a house that was fully involved.
Willey Road and Edinborough Line and Cowal Road and Edinborough Line will be closed until further notice to accommodate Dutton-Dunwich Fire Service, according to police.
