Brantford Police say they’ve made two arrests and are looking for a third suspect in connection with a home invasion.

According to police, three men forced their way into an Albion Street home late Monday night – armed with pepper spray, a baton and a handgun.

Inside the home at the time were two men, one woman and two dogs.

Two of the intruders allegedly pepper sprayed the dogs, then began hitting the men with their baton and gun.

“They kept asking ‘Where’s the money? Where’s the money?’” Jordan Johnston, who said he was one of those attacked, told CTV News.

As that was going on, police say, the third man was holding the woman down and punching her in the head.

It is believed that one of the victims was able to escape and grab a machete, at which point the intruders left the home.

Police say they were seen jumping into a red getaway car.

The man with the machete then flagged down another car, the driver of which phoned 911 – prompting a large-scale police response to the area.

The two men attacked inside the home were taken to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening head injuries.

Later on, police say they found the red vehicle outside a home on Buffalo Street.

Also found at that address was 30-year-old Daniel McCue, who now faces charges including assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and robbery.

A second person was arrested Tuesday.

Johnston says he believes the attack was prompted by a music video he made, which features stacks of money as a prop.

Police continue to search for the third intruder, who they describe as a white man in his mid-to-late 20s, 6’4” tall with a medium build and missing teeth.
