A Toronto woman has raised over four thousand dollars to help pay for the medical costs of a kitten that was tossed out of a vehicle on the busy Highway 427.

According to an Indiegogo campaign, on December 3rd, Mandi Howard was driving on the busy highway when she noticed the small bit for fur flying out of a car. According to the post, it was so small it could have been a paper cup.

When Howard went back to pick him up, he was covered in blood and screaming in pain.

The kitten was taken to Toronto Humane Society for emergency care. Veterinarians say the cat had a broken jaw, split lip and multiple fractures throughout his tiny body.

The online campaign to help pay for his medical care, has now surpassed the goal of two thousand dollars.

Funds will be used to pay for his present medical needs as well as his post-operative and rehabilitation care.
