Three people were injured, one seriously after a car crashed through the front of a plaza in Kitchener.

It happened just after 7 a.m., at Lorraine Avenue and Heritage Drive.

A car drove straight through the front window of the LifeLabs medical testing facility.

“(It’s) undetermined exactly what happened at this point,” Waterloo Regional Police Acting Sgt. Jeff Cooper told CTV News.

A female employee was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A man who was also inside the business at the time was treated for minor injuries, while the 86-year-old driver of the vehicle was not seriously hurt.

The building was inspected and found to be structurally sound.
