A man was taken to hospital to be treated for burns after a kitchen fire.
Waterloo fire crews were called to a home on Redfox Road around 1 p.m. Sunday.
They found a grease fire that was spreading to the cupboards above the stove.
A man tried to put out the flames, but suffered burns to his arm and abdomen.
Waterloo fire estimates there is around $50,000 damage to the kitchen.
