A Puslinch Township man faces several criminal charges following what police call an attempted stabbing near Aberfoyle.

According to Wellington County OPP, the incident happened Sunday evening at the Aberfoyle Bus Terminal on McLean Road.

Two men known to each other allegedly began a physical confrontation, with one of the men allegedly attempting to stab the other with a knife.

Joseph Dozois, 22, is charged with assault with a weapon, assault, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and other criminal offences, as well as public intoxication.

The victim was not injured, police say, and a knife was turned over to police.
