A Woodstock woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after the car she was driving was struck by a flying tire.
The 51-year-old woman was driving her Mazda 6 westbound on Highway 401 towards London when the wheel of an eastbound Volkswagen flew off and hit the front of her car.
It happened at the Cedar Creek exit around three o'clock Saturday afternoon.
The woman was taken to Cambridge Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Police are looking for witnesses.
