One person is dead following a house fire in Dorchester, east of London, Tuesday evening.

The Dorchester fire department were called to a fire on Oakwood Drive around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. 

Middlesex OPP say three people were in the residence at the time of the fire.  One person was able to escape the home on their own, while two others were removed from the house by members of Dorchester Fire-Rescue.

The two rescued were transported to hospital, one with life-threatening injuries, the other with non-life threatening injuries.

A 21-year-old man was pronounced deceased later.  His identity is being withheld until next of kin can be notified.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
