A chicken barn near Mitchell was destroyed by fire Friday morning.
Crews from five stations were called to the barn – on Line 44 near the community of Bornholm – around 4:30 a.m.
While the barn was destroyed, no chickens were killed in the fire and no injuries were reported.
Bill Hunter, chief of the West Perth and Perth East fire departments, told CTV News a concrete wall was the only piece of the barn left standing.
Friday’s fire was the second at a Perth County barn in three days. Wednesday afternoon, a barn near Milverton was destroyed by flames, killing 1,800 pigs.
