Celebrating that 'WOW' factor, 40 people are recognized for their extraordinary efforts

The 8^th annual WOW Awards took place Thursday night at Bingeman's in Kitchener.

The awards ceremony was created to celebrate ordinary people doing extraordinary things in our community.

There were forty award nominees chosen including Olympian Mandy Bujold, philanthropist Paul Nazareth and 10-year-old Catherine Morgada who is making a difference locally around the globe.

Proceeds from the WOW Awards went to the local branch of the United Way.
