A knife was pointed at a clerk of a convenience store in Brantford’s south end, police say.

The Mac’s store on Erie Avenue was robbed around 1:30 a.m. Monday.

According to police, a woman entered the store, approached the clerk at the cash register while brandishing a knife, and demand money.

She left the store on foot after taking some cash, and was last seen headed southbound on Erie. A canine unit search of the area was unsuccessful.

Police describe her as white and possibly in her 20s, approximately 5’5” tall with a thin to medium build.

She was wearing dark pants and dark shoes, a bulky blue winter jacket, a scarf over her face, black sunglasses and a black baseball cap.
