The driver of a tractor-trailer that landed in the median of Highway 401 is in hospital in stable condition.
Chatham-Kent OPP say the truck was travelling eastbound on the 401 near Merlin Town Line shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday when it crossed over the median.
The truck then allegedly drove in the westbound passing lane for 1.5 kilometres before ending up back in the median, where it became stuck near the Drake Sideroad.
The driver, a 60-year-old Windsor man, was taken to hospital.
Police continue to investigate.
