Woodstock resident arrested following stabbing: Police

Woodstock police say a 34-year-old is facing several charges after a stabbing connected to a theft.

Police said on Tuesday just after midnight, officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the Wilson and Peel streets area.

The victim was transported to hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the 34-year-old is facing the following charges:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Two counts of failure to comply with probation order.
