Two men are in critical condition in a Brantford hospital after a wood stove exploded.

It happened in a garage on Waverly Street in Brantford Saturday afternoon.

Fire crews were spent the day securing the scene until the fire marshal arrived.

Police say while the men are in critical condition they are both expected to recover.

There’s no word on the cause or damage estimates.
