Appearing in a Hamilton court on Friday, Christina Noudga was granted bail.
Noudga is charged with being an accessory to murder after the fact in the case of Tim Bosma, the Ancaster man killed in 2013.
Bosma was last seen leaving his home with two men who had asked to test-drive a truck he was selling.
His remains were later found on a farm in North Dumfries.
Friday, Noudga was released into the care of her parents on $100,000 bail.
She will be under house arrest and subject to electronic monitoring.
“She’s allowed to go to and from work, to and from school with the ankle bracelet,” lawyer Paul Mergler said outside court.
Noudga will also be able to leave the house if accompanied by one of her parents.
“She’s grateful that this phase of the ordeal is over and hopes to return to some degree of normalcy, not that there’s a lot of normalcy in a situation like this,” Mergler said.
Charged with first-degree murder in connection with Bosma’s death are Dellen Millard – the owner of the farm in North Dumfries – and Mark Smich.
Last month, a direct indictment was issued in their cases, meaning both would head straight to trial without a preliminary hearing.
Police have said Millard and Noudga were dating at the time of Bosma’s death.
A publication ban prevents reporting of other details from Friday’s hearing.
