Watch the first keg tapping of Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest on CTV
Pull out your dirnl, lederhosen or feathered hat and raise a stein to another Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest!
The Bavarian-themed party officially gets underway Friday with a big celebration in front of Kitchener City Hall – temporarily renamed Willkommen Platz.
Go down early to check out the vendor market, food trucks and biergarten.
The moment everyone has been waiting for – the tapping for the first keg – will happen around noon.
Our very own Leighanne Evans and Will Aiello will be hosting the ceremony, which will also be streamed live here on CTV Kitchener’s website.
Attendees will also be treated to musical performances by The Golden Keys and the Polka King himself, Walter Ostanek.
And don’t forget to say hello to Onkel Hans and Tante Frieda while you’re there!
For more on Oktoberfest events, musical performances and more, check out the festival’s website.
Prost to another fun-filled Oktoberfest in Waterloo Region!
