Vintage Videos: Highlights from the CKCO archive

Share

Broadcasting from Kitchener, Ont. since 1954, CTV Kitchener’s cameras (formerly known as CKCO-TV) have been at some of southwestern Ontario’s biggest moments.

For this Vintage Videos series, we’re taking a look at a the lighter side.

Check back each Thursday for a new video from our vault and some feel good nostalgia.

Here's some of what we've dug up:

  • The launch of Muskoka Brewery in Bracebridge, Ont. in 1996
  • Reporter Frank Lynn covers the 2000 closure of Lulu's Roadhouse -- an iconic Kitchener venue that held the Guinness record for the world's longest bar.
  • Students get a science lesson during the 1994 solar eclipse.
