The victim of a fatal crash Friday morning on Highway 401 in Oxford County has been identified as a 55-year-old man from southern Quebec.
The crash occurred shortly after 10 a.m. Friday in the eastbound lanes of the 401, just east of the Drumbo Road exit.
Three transport trucks were involved in the crash, which occurred while two lanes of the highway were closed a short distance away due to an earlier collision.
One driver, identified as Pierre Pelletier of Franklin, Quebec, was killed.
A second driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries, while a third refused medical treatment at the scene.
The highway was closed until the evening hours.
