Pedestrian suffers serious injuries after getting struck by vehicle in Cambridge

A pedestrian is in hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Cambridge early Saturday morning.

At around 12:20 a.m., emergency responders were called to Hespeler Road near Langs Drive for multiple reports of a pedestrian who was struck by a black KIA while crossing the road.

The driver of the KIA, a 26-year-old woman, was not hurt.

The southbound lanes of Hespeler Road were closed for several hours between Pinebush Road and Langs Drive for investigation. They have since reopened.

The investigation continues.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash camera footage to contact the police at 519-570-9777, ext. 8856.
