A U.K. man has been arrested in the online threat that caused Friday’s lockdown at Wilfrid Laurier University.

A 22-year-old man was arrested in Tottenham Hale in northern London, United Kingdom on suspicion of malicious communication. He is still in custody.

Waterloo Regional Police say the threat was made in an anonymous post on the online forum 4chan, and noted it used similar wording as a threat made before a deadly school shooting in the United States earlier this month.

The university was shut down at 6:00 a.m. on Friday after administrators were tipped off to the threat overnight by the FBI. The lockdown was lifted at 11:30 a.m. after police were satisfied the campus was safe.
