Police in Woodstock have arrested Tara McDonald and two others after a drug warrant was executed at a home on Norwich Avenue.

McDonald, 32, and her common law partner, 34-year-old James Goris have each been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of property obtained by crime.

Brandon Annis, 38, also of Woodstock, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, failure to comply with recognizance and four counts of possession of property obtained by crime.

Crack cocaine, marijuana and cash valued at approximately $2,400 were seized from the south end home on Tuesday evening. Property linked to a number of break-ins in Woodstock was also recovered.

Neighbour Lisa Bragg describes the scene, "I just came home about four or five o'clock in the afternoon and seen a bunch of police cars here."

Her son Mackenzie Bragg says the police used distraction devices before entering the unit.

"I just heard about the smoke bombs being thrown in the apartments and when mom came home our house was even filled with smoke and residue from that."

The Special Investigations Unit was also called in late Tuesday night after Annis was injured during the arrests. He was reportedly treated in hospital for a fracture.

McDonald's name has been in headlines before when her daughter, Victoria ‘Tori' Stafford was kidnapped while on her way from school and killed in April 2009.
