A bike stroller that might provide clues to the death of Mary Anne May has been found, Waterloo Regional Police say.

May, 55, was last seen on Sept. 18.

Her body was found in Tyson Park in northeast Kitchener two days later.

Police released a photo of the stroller Monday, saying it had gone missing from the area of May’s residence – near Margaret Avenue and Guelph Street in Kitchener – shortly after her death.

Several calls were made to police by citizens who spotted similar strollers.

One stroller was seized by police Monday evening outside a plaza at Weber Street and Bridgeport Road in Waterloo.

“We believe that the stroller holds some important clues,” police spokesperson Olaf Heinzel tells CTV News.

Heinzel says nobody has been taken into custody and no suspects have been identified in connection with the stroller, but it is undergoing forensic testing.

Police returned to May’s apartment with a search warrant on Friday and remained there for several days, but have since left.

Heinzel says several undisclosed items were taken from the apartment.
