The Ford plant in St. Thomas closes Thursday after nearly four decades of building some of the company's most popular vehicles.
It also means the end of the line for hundreds of union workers.
The plant has been building full-sized sedans such as Crown Vics but sales have fallen steadily for years and the plant has been slated to close for a couple of years.
