The police search at a North Dumfries farm owned by Dellen Millard has come to an end.
Toronto homicide detectives had been at the Roseville Road site Tuesday and Thursday, looking into the disappearance of Millard’s former girlfriend, Laura Babcock.
They were seen digging large holes, including one that appeared to be five feet deep.
Friday morning, police confirmed to CTV News that they have left the site.
“I am not aware of TPS at any other locations at this time,” Const. Wendy Drummond said in an email.
Millard first hit police radar earlier this month, when he was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Tim Bosma.
Bosma, an Ancaster resident, was last seen leaving his home with two men who had asked to test drive a truck he had listed for sale.
Police say those two men Millard and Oakville resident Mark Smich, also facing a murder charge.
As the investigation into Bosma’s death continued, Toronto police began their own investigation into the death of Millard’s father Wayne Millard – initially ruled a suicide – and the disappearance of Babcock, who was last seen in June 2012 in Toronto’s Roncevalles neighbourhood.
Bosma’s burned remains were found by police at the farm property, as was an incinerator, but police have not said if the two are connected.
Millard’s next court appearance is set for June 13.
