A pilot flying near the Stratford Municipal Airport was one of two local pilots to report incidents involving drones in recent days.
According to a report filed with Transport Canada, an unmanned aerial vehicle came within 150 to 200 metres of the pilot’s Cessna.
It happened last Friday, as the pilot was less than three kilometres west of the airport.
Two days later, a pilot flying into the Region of Waterloo International Airport from Owen Sound reported seeing a drone in restricted airspace as he was landing his homebuilt plane.
The drone in that case was described as being black and yellow, about two feet in diameter, and flying over houses in a residential subdivision west of the airport.
