Man slashed with knife in downtown Guelph

A man was taken to hospital with minor injuries after he was slashed with a knife in downtown Guelph.

Guelph Police said an officer was approached by an injured man near Gordon Street and Waterloo Avenue around 4 a.m. Sunday. The man had two slashes to his abdomen, a cut on his eyebrow and a bruised face.

Police said the injured man from Kitchener had been involved in an altercation with two other males at a business. One of the suspects had a knife.
