Police in Guelph are looking for the driver of a pickup truck after a quickfire pair of crashes on Speedvale Avenue.

The crash occurred Thursday night at about 8:40 p.m. Police say a Buick was waiting to turn left from Speedvale onto Riverview Drive when it was struck from behind by a Honda Civic.

Both drivers got out of their vehicles and were standing on the roadway when, moments later, the Honda was hit from behind by a pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup then reversed and drove around the Honda, leaving the scene of the crash.

Police say the driver of the Honda, a 21-year-old woman from the Bracebridge area, reported minor injuries to her legs but did not require medical treatment. The driver of the Buick, a 30-year-old Guelph man, was not injured.

The pickup truck is described as a full-size, four-door, newer model Ford, silver in colour and possibly with chrome steps on each side.

The Honda received extensive damage and needed to be towed away from the scene.

The driver of the Honda has been charged with careless driving.

Anyone with information on the pickup truck is asked to contact police at 519-824-1212 ext. 7145.
