A 10-year-old London boy is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle while riding his bicycle Friday evening.
"The vehicle hopped the curb, drove down the sidewalk and struck the boy and then took off. So we're looking at a serious hit and run," says Sgt. Peter Pacquette with the London Police.
The child, who has not been identified, was rushed to Victoria Hospital by ambulance.
"We take every occurance seriously, but when there's young children involved it really brings us together as an investigative team. We work that little bit harder," Pacquette adds.
City police say they're looking for a 2000 to 2004 Chrysler Intrepid or 300, black or dark blue in colour with aftermarket rims.
