The police search into the death of Seble ‘Mimi’ Dietrich has resulted in the discovery of human remains.
Late Thursday afternoon, Guelph Police said they had discovered the remains at 55 Vancouver Drive.
Police had descended on that property Wednesday, in connection with the alleged murder of the 39-year-old Dietrich, who disappeared last July under mysterious circumstances.
Dietrich’s husband, 43-year-old Stephan Dietrich, was arrested earlier this week in connection with her death.
Police allege that he killed her on the same day she went missing.
Friends and neighbours say the couple and their three children lived quiet lives, with at least Seble known to be deeply religious.
The remains found Thursday have not been identified.
They will be sent to Toronto for forensic examination.
