One of Stratford's largest employers is closing its doors.
Workers at Honeywell were told Thursday morning the plant is being shut.
More than 300 jobs will be lost.
Reports say the plant will be shut down in phases with all jobs gone in June 2012.
The Stratford plant has produced oil, air and fuel filters for customers that have included DaimlerChrysler, Honda, John Deere, Jiffy and Pennzoil.
