One Guelph man is in hospital with a broken jaw and another is facing assault charges after a Tuesday incident at a Guelph residence.

Police were called to a Truesdale Crescent home at 3 p.m. They say two roommates got into an argument, ending with one roommate punching the other in the face and breaking his jaw.

One of the roommates, a 25-year-old, was arrested without incident and held for a bail hearing.

The victim, 21, was taken to hospital where doctors confirmed that his jaw had been broken in two places and surgery would be required.
