Hundreds of pigs were stolen from a farm in Norfolk County, police say – although it may have been months before the theft was discovered.

Last Friday, OPP were called to a farm on Norfolk County Road 28, near the community of Fairground.

They were told that the farmer had been doing an inventory of the animals when they discovered that approximately 500 pigs were missing.

It’s believed the animals were stolen sometime between April 21 and June 19.

The value of the pigs is estimated at $90,000.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
