The provincial government says a planned expansion of GO Transit service will create about 3,500 jobs.

GO rail service will be extended to the Kitchener-Waterloo area by the end of this year, including three new stops at Acton, Guelph and Kitchener.

The Richmond Hill GO line will be extended north to Gormley by late 2013 to make room for more commuters.

And transforming the GO terminal at Toronto's Union Station to make it modern and less congested for commuters is to be completed by 2015.
