For the second time this month, parts of southern Ontario find themselves under a frost advisory.

Environment Canada issued the advisory Wednesday afternoon.

It covers northern parts of Wellington County, including Mount Forest and Arthur, as well as southern parts of Grey County such as Dundalk and Hanover.

Other areas affected include Dufferin County and regions around Barrie, Innisfil and Collingwood.

Low-lying and sheltered locations east of the Niagara Escarpment are most at risk for frost, the advisory said, as well as parts of the Dundalk Highlands.

The agency expects temperatures to fall close to the freezing mark across an even wider area Wednesday night.

The forecast low for southern Grey County and northern Wellington County is 0 C.

Temperatures in Waterloo Region and the rest of Wellington County are expected to drop to 3 C, with Oxford-Brant, Huron Perth and southern Bruce County seeing 4 C, and northern parts of Bruce-Grey falling to 5 C.

Forecasts are calling for Thursday to be a warmer day, with daytime highs between 16 C and 18 C across our coverage area, and overnight lows only a few degrees warmer.
