Timothy Wood, 38, and his six-year-old son Ryan Wood of Shakespeare were killed in a crash north of Embro over the weekend.

The crash occurred shortly before 10 a.m. on Saturday on 37th Line near Road 88 when the pickup truck the pair was travelling in collided with a straight axle feed truck.

The driver of the feed truck suffered minor injuries.

Timothy was pronounced dead at the scene, while Ryan was transported to Stratford General Hospital where he later died.

The pair leave behind wife and mother Sara and two more sons/brothers Cody and Jonathan.

Memorial tributes reveal Ryan had recently overcome a three-year battle with leukemia.

He also loved hockey, mini golf, Hot Wheels and cuddling with his mom.

Family tributes say Tim loved cars and teaching his sons' sports teams.

Visitation for Tim and Ryan will be held at the W. G. Young Funeral home in Stratford on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m.

A funeral service is planned at Central United Church in Stratford on Thursday afternoon.

Additional details about the funeral and visitation can be found on the W.G. Young Funeral Home website at: http://www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com/ob/current_list.php

An education trust fund has been established for the sons left behind and donations can be made through the funeral home.

Oxford County OPP continues to investigate the cause of the crash, though early reports suggest weather may have been a factor.
