Visitor restrictions have been lifted at Cambridge Memorial Hospital following an end to an outbreak of an enteric illness.
The outbreak was declared last week, in the medicine unit on the fifth level of Wing B, after three patients, one staff member and one student became ill.
In total, hospital officials say, 10 patients, six staff members and three students were infected by the intestinal disease.
Their symptoms included diarrhea and vomiting.
Hospital officials say anyone showing symptoms of a cold or influenza should avoid visiting the hospital at all times, to help reduce the risk of spreading infectious diseases.
