TILLSONBURG, Ont. - A Tillsonburg man has been charged after police allege he went to more than one doctor to get extra medication.

Richard Sage, 37, is charged with 16 counts of double doctoring contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

He appeared in provincial court in Woodstock on Jan. 19.

Provincial police say double doctoring is the deliberate use of more than one physician to get prescriptions for more medication than would normally be prescribed.
