Police say a second search along the waterfront in Owen Sound, Ont., has turned up a number of items of interest in the disappearance of a woman in 1988.

Lisa Maas was 22 and five months pregnant when last seen leaving the home of a male friend in Woodford, near Owen Sound.

Two days later, her vehicle was found on a nearby rural road, but no trace of Maas has been found.

Provincial police scoured a property on 3rd Avenue East -- using an excavator, ground penetrating radar and a cadaver dog -- until late Thursday night.

Police spokesman Const. Steve Starr wouldn't say Friday exactly what was recovered during the dig at the site investigators probed on Oct. 13, but says future searches at the same site have not been ruled out.

Starr says a man has been a person of interest for several years in the case, but he is not in custody.

The Ontario government is offering a reward of $50,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in Maas's disappearance.
