One person was airlifted to hospital following a head-on collision in the community of Carthage.
A spokesperson for air ambulance service Ornge says the person was taken to a London hospital in critical condition.
According to Perth County OPP, that person was a woman who was driving a minivan that was involved in the crash.
The other vehicle involved was a pickup truck with a male driver, who was taken to a nearby hospital. Information on his condition was not immediately available.
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
The collision happened shortly before 9:30 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Perth Road 131 and Line 83.
Perth Road 131 was expected to remain closed in the area for several hours.
Carthage is a community in Perth East, located southwest of Conestogo Lake and about 15 kilometres southeast of Listowel.
