Police in Guelph are searching for a vehicle after a pedestrian was hit Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred shortly before 3:30 a.m. at the corner of Paisley Street and Southampton Street.

Police say the pedestrian was crossing Southampton on the sidewalk when he was hit by a car.

The vehicle slowed down, but ultimately headed west on Paisley without stopping.

The vehicle is described as a white Volkswagen sedan driven by a man.

The pedestrian was not injured.
