One person received minor injuries Friday when a vehicle caught fire in Brantford’s north end.
Fire crews were called to a home near Dundson Street and Bernard Avenue shortly before 2 p.m.
They arrived at the home to find that while the van was burning, the person – who is believed to have been working on the vehicle at the time – wasn’t seriously hurt.
“There’s some substantial damage to the vehicle (and) the garage, and a little bit to the neighbour’s garage,” said Dwayne Armstrong, Brantford’s chief fire prevention officer.
An investigation is underway into the cause of the fire.
