A crash in Shakespeare ended with a vehicle crashing into an antique store.

The crash was reported to Perth County OPP shortly after 10 a.m.

Police say a cargo van was travelling westbound on Highway 7/8, near Perth Road 107, when the driver lost control, crossed the road, jumped a curb and ended up hitting the Glen Manor Galleries.

An exterior wall of the store received significant damage, as did a display case and other items inside the store.

The driver of the van, a 35-year-old man from Stoney Creek, was not injured.

He faces charges including careless driving and driving a vehicle without a valid permit.
