OPP have made two arrests in what they’re calling a million-dollar investment fraud.

The investigation into the pair began in 2007. Police say they received a complaint from a citizen who had invested funds in Allrich Investments.

“(Then) three other complaints came forward. The Norfolk County Crime Unit then commenced another investigation, resulting in 17 other complainants coming forward,” said Const. Ed Sanchuk.

Some of the 17 complaints made to police about Allrich Investments stretch back as far as 1994.

Charged are Wolfgang Friedrich, 62, and Monique Friedrich, 52. Both are residents of Norfolk County, and both have been charged with 17 counts of fraud over $5,000.

They’re scheduled to appear in court April 30.

Police say they believe there are still more victims out there who have not contacted police.

“From the media release just completed, we did have one person contact the police,” said Sanchuk.

“I suspect there may be other victims throughout our community.”

Anyone who may have information on or dealings with Allrich Investments is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
