Middlesex County OPP say a number of pickup trucks have been stolen in the area over the past couple of weeks.

Overnight on Tuesday, Aug. 9, a white Chev pickup truck was stolen from a home on Stonehouse Line near Lucan.

Another pickup, this time a black Ford, was taken from a rural property on Twelve Mile Road in Middlesex Centre on Friday, Aug. 12.

Police say a Dodge truck was stolen in Thames Centre sometime between Aug. 9 and Aug 13.

Some time between 11 p.m. last Tuesday and the following morning, OPP say a green Ford pickup was taken from a rural property on Elm Tree Drive in North Middlesex.

Officials say a professional can steal a vehicle in just 30 seconds.  Police suggest always rolling up a vehicle’s windows, lock the doors and never leave behind the keys.
