Homicide investigators are leading the investigation into a man found dead near Victoria Park in downtown Kitchener.
Waterloo Regional Police say the man was found in a wooded area near Schneider Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police tape marked off a large section of the park near the Iron Horse Trail through the afternoon, and a heavy police presence was seen stretching to West Avenue later in the day.
The man’s identity has not been released.
A post-mortem examination has yet to take place, police say.
