Brantford police have identified a body found near Highway 403 Monday afternoon.
Just after noon on Monday, Brantford police were called when a resident called to report the discovery of a body in the field near the West Street overpass of the 403. The body has been identified as being 45-year-old Jeffrey James Roberts.
Jeffrey Roberts had been reported missing and police had been searching for him. He was last seen near the downtown area on Saturday, Nov. 5 in the early afternoon. He left the area of Darling Street and Clarence Street on bicycle.
Police are interested in talking to anyone who may have information on Mr. Roberts’ activities any time after lunchtime on Saturday Nov. 5.
Brantford police are working with the coroner’s office in determining the cause of death.
