A traffic blitz on Homer Watson Boulevard resulted in dozens of charges being laid.

Waterloo Regional Police officers spent eight hours on the street Friday, near the roundabout at Block Line Road.

In total, 28 charges were laid for drivers travelling at more than 80 km/h.

One driver was allegedly clocked at 105 km/h – more than double the 50 km/h speed limit in the area.

That driver, a 38-year-old Kitchener man, faces charges including stunt driving and has lost his driver’s licence and car for seven days.

The speed limit is 70 km/h along most of Homer Watson. It falls to 50 km/h near Block Line.
