Downtown Elora saw a heavy police presence Wednesday afternoon as police investigated an armed robbery at a drugstore.
Wellington County OPP say they received a call regarding the incident around 4 p.m.
According to police, a lone man demanded pills from an employee at the Shoppers Drug Mat on Geddes Street.
Witnesses report seeing a firearm during the incident.
After being given what police call a small quantity of pills, he left the store and was last seen heading southbound on Geddes.
Several police cruisers and a canine unit were brought in to track down the suspect, but were unsuccessful.
Police describe their suspect as a younger male, likely in his late teens, with blue eyes.
He was wearing a green, hooded winter jacket and had a bandana over his face.
