One person is dead following a collision between a motorcycle and a dump truck in North Dumfries.
The collision was reported around 2:30 p.m., on Dumfries Road near Cedar Creek Road, west of Cambridge and northeast of Ayr.
Waterloo Regional Police say the motorcyclist, a 61-year-old Kitchener woman, was pronounced dead in hospital following the crash.
Her name has not been made public.
The driver of the dump truck, a 62-year-old man, was not hurt.
Police believe he was turning into a driveway when his truck collided with the motorcycle, which was coming from the opposite direction.
Speed and alcohol are not considered to be contributing factors.
Dumfries was closed as police investigated the crash. It reopened shortly after 6 p.m.
