If you haven't filed your 2011 income tax return yet -- and you owe the government money -- you'll owe even more if you don't send it Monday night.

The deadline to file your income tax return without penalty is midnight.

The Canada Revenue Agency charges late filers five per cent of the amount owing, plus one-per-cent for each full month your return is late.

The experts say even if you don't have the money to pay the bill right now, you still should send in your return to avoid the penalty -- and you can work out a payment plan in the weeks ahead.
